The Workbench
The dashboard's developer drawer. Send real API requests with your session in test or live mode, copy them as curl, keep this tab's history, and watch webhook health, without creating a key.
The Workbench is a developer drawer docked over every dashboard page. Open it from Workbench at the foot of the sidebar, or from the command menu (Open the Workbench). It is full screen on a phone and can be maximised elsewhere.
Send a request
The Request tab sends a real API call with your dashboard session, so you need no API key:
- Choose the method:
GET,POST,PATCHorDELETE. - Enter a path starting with
/v1/, such as/v1/products?limit=3. Examples offers a few read-only ones to start from. - For
POSTandPATCH, give a JSON body, or none. - Choose the mode: Test (the default) or Live. Test requests work on sandbox data, and nothing live changes. A live write asks you to confirm first.
The answer shows its status, how long it took, its request ID (to find it in the request logs) and the body, indented when it is JSON. Very long answers are cut, with a note.
Requests act as you: with your role's permissions, in the organisation the dashboard is open on. A request your role cannot make is refused as it would be anywhere.
Copy as curl
Copy as curl turns the request into a curl command against the public API, with a key
placeholder for the request's mode ($FURNIOPS_TEST_KEY or $FURNIOPS_LIVE_KEY) and a fresh
Idempotency-Key for a POST. Replace the placeholder with a key from
API keys.
History
The History tab keeps the last 20 requests sent from the Workbench in this browser tab, with their answers. Nothing is stored: closing the tab forgets them.
Webhooks
The Webhooks tab shows your endpoints' health at a glance. Manage them under Developers › Webhooks; see Webhook endpoints and deliveries.
Request logs
Every API request your organisation made in the last 31 days, with its answer and the credential behind it. Find a failing request by its ID, filter by status, method, caller, path and time, in the dashboard or the API.
API reference
Every FurniOps API operation, generated from the public OpenAPI document, with the conventions they share.
